Hi, I'm Laura Burgos!

Former yo-yo dieter and HIIT workout fanatic turned certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, nutrition coach, and owner of Laura B Fit LLC. 

I've been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and have seen my fair share of how extreme workouts and fad diets have done a detriment to how our society views health. I'm on a mission to help busy individuals reach their health and fitness goals without being miserable in the process.

When I started working with Laura, I knew I needed a mindset shift. Food was demonized in my mind, and I was always feeling guilty for just eating anything. This awful relationship with food is what I brought to Laura, and she heard every word I said and created a plan that made me feel good about what I was fueling my body with. I remember telling her that I did not want to restrict anything, and so we worked on adding things to my day, like protein, fruits, and veggies. This additive language helped me repair my relationship with food, and I was making sure I was eating enough, not counting calories or feeling ashamed for having pizza. I found that I have much more energy now, which was one of my main goals. Coaching with Laura was different; she didn't try to sell me some "one size fits all" diet, she was receptive to all my feedback and adjusted when necessary, and made me feel really good about my nutritional choices and my body!

Before working with Laura, I always had this lofty and unattainable goal of wanting to “clean up my diet, have better eating habits, less guilt/shame” but didn’t have the tools or knowledge to get there. Now I feel like I can guide myself to better eating habits, feeling satisfied after a meal without feeling the wave of shame or guilt.I didn’t have to eliminate anything! What surprised me the most was how some things just naturally fell out of my diet but that was mostly because I wasn’t mindlessly eating as much.I’ll probably always be working on my relationship to food/my body and undoing what diet culture has done to it but I do feel confident that I have the tools now!!!
